Project Management Office Manager Job (Insurance) - MONROE CONSULTING GROUP

We are currently recruiting on behalf of one of the world's leading Logistic companies.

Monroe Consulting Group is currently working with an exciting general insurance company. To support the company's ongoing expansion, our client is looking for a Project Management Office Manager. The purpose of this role is to set up and run the Project Management Office that will be involved largely in operational excellence projects. This position initially will involve working closely with the Head of Operations and regional operations.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Facilitate PMO department to support operational excellence and business process re-engineering projects
  • Guide project stakeholders in defining project scope and ensuring the effective utilization of resources
  • Oversee enterprise project management activities and continually update procedures to improve county processes
  • Support the Head of Operation to execute various projects on business process re-engineering and operational excellence, including IT-related solutions as needed
  • Research and remain updated on the latest technology, solutions or market updates related to the project or company
  • Staff planning as required during the expansion of the office or as more projects are implemented

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline, preferably in technology or business. A second degree (MBA or finance/banking) is a plus
  • Five years experience (min.) in program/project management, with at least three years as a project manager or 2 years in the area of PMO
  • General literacy in general insurance is an advantage
  • Possess any Six Sigma certification is an advantage
  • Must have proven track record delivering large applications or implementing business process re-engineering
  • Broad knowledge and experience of IT solutions is preferred
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Willingness to work with a start-up department
  • A persuasive personality with good communication skills
  • Solid people management experience of project teams
  • Fluent in English
